Welcome to the Assistive Technology (AT) Site for Miami-Dade
County Public Schools. The Assistive Technology Team provides
support to ensure that every child in Miami-Dade County Schools
who may need Assistive Technology (AT) has equal and timely
access to appropriate assessment and the provision and implementation
of needed AT devices and services.
Our primary
goal is to improve the outcomes and results for children
with disabilities through the
use of assistive
technology to access services, curriculum, and school and
community activities. Another goal is to increase the capacity
of early intervention agencies, schools, and their partners
to provide assistive by making training and technical assistance
available throughout Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Assistive Technology Awareness Partners Incorporated (M-DATAP)
announces its second annual Envision The Possibilities-ATA
2008 event
to be held May 1-3, 2008. The purpose of
this event is to raise awareness of the capability of assistive
technology to empower, educate, and include persons with
disabilities in all aspects of life.
